الأهرام الكندي: أعلنت الحكومة الكندية عن برنامج لمساعدة طلبة الجامعات والمعاهد لمقابلة احتياجات الطلاب أثناء فترة انتشار كورونا.

يستفيد من هذا البرنامج كل الطلاب الذين هم مقيدون بالجامعات والمعاهد في الفصل الدراسي الشتوي 2020 وكذلك حديثي التخرج والذين هم مازالو مشتركين في برنامج CIP.

المساعدات المالية تأتي من خلال برنامج C19-RF لمرة واحدة فقط.

سيحصل كل طالب علي 1.250 دولار شهريا ترتفع ل 1.750 دولار شهريا إذا كان الطالب من ذوي الإحتياجات الخاصة أو انه يقوم برعاية شخص من ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة.

حتي الطلاب الذين لديهم وظيفة ودخلهم أقل من 1000 دولار شهريا يستطيعون الحصول علي المساعدات. كذلك حديثي التخرج والذين تخرجوا سنة 2019 يمكنهم الحصول على هذه المساعدات.

Students will find the application form for the C19-RF through their MyConcordia portal. The application has two parts:

• a student budget section
• a student statement section. 

It is very important that students fully complete both sections of their application.

How to apply

Here are the detailed instructions to follow to apply:

1. Log on to your MyConcordia Portal.
2. Click on “My Student Centre” on the left side of the screen.
3. Click on “My Student Centre”.
4. In the middle of the page, under Finances/Financial Aid, click on “Apply for Bursaries or Scholarships”.
5. Choose “Concordia Aid Year 2021”.
6. Choose Aid Declaration and complete the required information.
7. On the first page when asked about government student aid all applicants must choose “NO I did not apply”. This is the case even if you did apply and/or are receiving government student aid.
8. This will allow you to continue to the statement portion of the application. Please begin your statement with COVID-19 (about 500 words). Please tell us how COVID-19 has affected your financial situation. Once you complete your statement please press Continue.
9. You are now in the “Needs Analysis” tab once you complete the needs analysis click Agree.
10. Your application is now complete.

After you’ve applied

Once you have completed your application, you will receive a confirmation of receipt from fundingyoureducation@concordia.ca within 24 to 48 hours. Once your application has been reviewed, a financial aid advisor will contact you.
