A lorry in central Mexico has ploughed into a religious procession, killing at least 16 pilgrims and injuring about 30, officials say.
The lorry, which was carrying building materials, hit a crowd of about 200 people on the main street in the town of Mazapil, in Zacatecas state.
The vehicle’s brakes appear to have failed.
The driver reportedly fled after the crash, local media say. An investigation is under way.
