Kenyans Stanley Biwott and Mary Keitany won the men’s and women’s titles at the New York Marathon on Sunday.
Biwott pulled away from countryman and world cross-country champion Geoffrey Kamworor in the last mile to win in two hours 10 minutes and 34 seconds.
Two-time London Marathon winner
Keitany became the first back-to-back New York champion since Britain’s Paula Radcliffe in 2007 and 2008.
She beat Ethiopia’s Aselefech Mergia into second with a time of 2:24:25.
